A Fortunate Life

Barry and Laurel highly recommended the memoirs of A.B. Facey, A Fortunate Life. Matt and I got a recorded versions to listen to in the car. The story is fantastic and really gives insight to what Australian life was like through the 1900's.
"A Fortunate Life, is the story of an ordinary man who survived against extraordinary odds. From becoming a farmhand at the age of eight, to boxing professionally, to returning from WWI after almost a year of combat and raising a family, Bert Facey has achieved some truly remarkable things in his life."

If anyone was looking for a new book to read I am passing on the recommendation.
